Review of homelessness

Post text

Local councils are required to publish a homelessness strategy under the Homelessness Act 2002.  When doing so we should engage with public and local authorities, voluntary organisations and other people and organisations considered appropriate to get their comments and feednback.

This year we are reviewing and updating our homelessness strategy, setting out our response to challenges we face, the changes in policy and funding since the last review, and how we propose to tackle homelessness over the next 5 years.

When developing a new homelessness strategy we must carry out a review of homelessness looking at the extent of homelessness, future trends, and any gaps in the services currently being provided.

The responses we receive will be analysed and will inform the development of our new Homelessness Strategy for the next five years.
