Proposed extension of the age range of pupils at Gates School

In accordance with the Department for Education's (DfE) guidance "School Organisation: Making significant changes (‘prescribed alterations’) to maintained schools (2018)", the council are consulting with stakeholders on the proposal to extend the age range of Gates special school from 4 – 11 years to 2 – 11 years. It is proposed that if agreed, this change will be implemented in September 2019.

This consultation will run for a period of four weeks from 1 November - 29 November 2018.
